The arch lector on war altar backed up by 2x level 2 wizards (1 power rod and 1 power stone or something) along with a pegasus captain with a doomfire ring is a very nice/reliable magic phase without sacrificing LD ability, and you still get a decent amount of punchy characters. There are probably better combos, but its really useful vs giants and stuff (you have to charge or your in deap trouble though) Thats if you want it, its kind of a pricey item. Its hard (IMO) to justify losing 2 attacks from a general or 3 with a grand master but I don't usually mind dropping 1 for the Lector. but, we have our own, so just make sure you concentrate on threats against him, hope they miss or you pass your ward saves and your set!Īnother nice thing is the Arch Lector is a useful character to bring out the mace of helstrum. Sucks when your opponent brings cannons however.
